“Our hearts are with the victims of the horrific attack in Austin and with their families who are enduring unimaginable pain. What happened is heartbreaking and has shaken communities across our state.

We pray for those who lost their lives, for those who were injured, and for their loved ones as they face the difficult days ahead.

I am deeply grateful to the law enforcement officers and first responders who acted quickly and courageously to protect innocent lives and bring order in a moment of chaos. Their service reminds us of the bravery and sacrifice of those who stand on the front lines to keep our communities safe.
